CARLINVILLE, Ill. - The men's soccer team avenged their only conference loss with a 2-0 win over Blackburn on Saturday.
The Panthers controlled play throughout the match, collecting a 22-8 advantage in shots.
Jared McPeek recorded the match's opening goal in the 20th minute, and Rafael Navas added a goal in the 44th minute before the end of the half.
McPeek led GU with four shots, including three on goal.
Hiram Cruz started in the match as goalkeeper for Greenville, and he had two saves in the first half.
Francesco Ribechini relieved Cruz in the second half and received credit for the shared shutout.
