Women's soccer drops regular season finale to Fontbonne

GREENVILLE, Ill. - The women's soccer team honored their seniors in a pregame ceremony and then lost their Homecoming match 3-0 to the SLIAC regular season champion Fontbonne squad on Saturday.

The Panthers allowed three second half goals in the defeat.

Greenville and Fontbonne played an even match in the first half with each team offering four shots.  Fontbonne outshot GU 11-0 in the second half.  Emma Cadwell provided two first half shots for Greenville.

Greenville goalkeeper Grace Gehner was active with five saves in the match.  Carly Wagner entered the match at goalkeeper for GU and had three saves.

The Panthers (10-7, 10-4 SLIAC) will be the number three seed in the SLIAC tournament on Tuesday, November 2, and they will host Principia at 5 p.m.
