CARLINVILLE, Ill. – Eureka came up short in a 3-0 St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference setback at Blackburn, Tuesday afternoon in Carlinville, Ill.
Maria Cline scored the day's first goal on an assist from Brittany Grayson at 25:22. Layna Broux added insurance in the 42nd minute and the Beavers led 2-0 at halftime.
Jasmine Tillman tacked on an unassisted goal at 78:32 to close the scoring.
Abby Swope (Canton, Ill./Canton H.S.) stopped 17 of BC's 20 shots on goal. Phoenix Johnson (Bartonville, Ill./Limestone H.S.) tallied two shot attempts.
Eureka will play its final match of the season this Saturday at 1 p.m. against Greenville at McKinzie Field.
