Zack Lyeki's Game Winner Sends No. 5 Fontbonne Men's Soccer Off To The SLIAC Semifinals
CARLINVILLE, Ill.—A late goal from Zack Lyeki pushed the No. 5 seeded Fontbonne University men’s soccer team past No. 4 Blackburn in the SLIAC Quarterfinals, 2-1.

Game Breakdown
Almost halfway through the first half, the Griffins owned a 5-4 shot advantage. As the clock continued to tick away the Griffins applied more pressure and had ball control throughout the final 20:00 minutes.
Fontbonne had a great scoring chance in the 44th minute as Kaleb Wilson's shot went off the crossbar and out of play keeping it a 0-0 game at the break.
In the second half, the Griffins had possession in the Beavers box and a handball was called on the Blackburn defense. Trent Calvert scored easily his fifth on the season giving Fontbonne a 1-0 lead in the 55th minute.
Fontbonne continued to hold onto that lead up until the 66th minute when Blackburn scored the equalizer. There was a loose ball in the box sent in by Yeudiel De Leon and Zibo Siamsipa was there to tip in his shot tying the game.
Then, in the 85th minute, the Griffins broke the tie when Calvert had the ball and crossed it into the box for Zack Lyeki. The Hazelwood, Mo., native, was there scoring his sixth on the year giving Fontbonne the one goal advantage back.
Blackburn threatened late in the 89th minute but Dominic Haggard was there making a diving save allowing Fontbonne to go on for the win.
