FULTON, Mo. - Westminster volleyball takes two wins against MacMurray and Principia to remain an undefeated 6-0 at home and win their seventh straight match.

The Blue Jays improve to 12-8 on the year and 11-1 in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, behind only Webster (12-1) for first place. 

Westminster swept both matches 3-0, avenging their lone conference loss of the year against Principia. 

In the MacMurray match, Westminster started out strong immediately with four service aces in a row from Hannah Marshall. From then on out, it was all Blue Jays. Westminster only trailed for a brief time in the third set, but ultimately won 25-20. 

"We played a good game for the first match of the day," said Westminster Head Coach Natalia Koryzna. "Our offense started slow and at times we weren't connecting with the setter, but we got much better as the game progressed."

Allie Kennebeck led the team in the first match with eight kills. Teresa Becker tallied 25 assists. 

The second match against Principia was back-and-forth for all three sets, but ultimately the Blue Jays came out on top for each one. It was important for us to avenge the loss earlier in the season. The team made me really proud today!"

"Our second match was really consistent in all elements," said Koryzna. "We were focused on playing our game and staying aggressive. 

Marshall led the offensive attack with 12 kills while Becker recorded 46 assists. 

Westminster continues its homestand Tuesday against Eureka.
