Webster's Dooley Named ABCA/Rawlings All-American

ST. LOUIS - Steven Dooley, starting pitcher for the Webster University baseball team, has been named to the 2013 ABCA/Rawlings All-American Team.  Dooley, a graduating senior, was voted to the All-American Third Team and becomes the third Gorlok pitcher in the last four years to receive the honor.

Dooley was named the ABCA/Rawlings 2013 Central Region Pitcher of the Year last week, and earlier this month was chosen as the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference 2013 Pitcher of the Year.  Dooley also received SLIAC First Team All-Conference recognition, and was named the Most
Valuable Player in the 2013 SLIAC Tournament.

Dooley wound up 10-3 on the year, with a 2.69 earned run average and 71 strikeouts.  Along with teammate Isaac Behme, he set a Webster single season record for wins.   Dooley finishes his career at Webster first on the all-time high list in appearances (58), second in wins (21) and strikeouts (209), and fourth in ERA (3.02).

Gorlok Will Savage (2007-10) was named to the ABCA/Rawlings All-Amercan First Team in 2010, and David Mueller (2010-12) was named to the All-American Second Team in 2012.
