Gorloks Fall In NCAA DIII Championship 1st Round
APPLETON, Wis. - The Webster University baseball team lost to
the Kean University Cougars, 14-6, in the NCAA DIII Baseball
Championship first round, on May 24, at Fox Cities Stadium in
Appleton, Wis. Webster fell in a hole early, came back to
take a lead, but couldn’t hang on as the Gorloks find
themselves in the elimination bracket.
Webster (36-11), ranked 12th nationally, will face Manchester
University (Ind.) in a 1:15 p.m. contest on May 25, back at Fox
Cities Stadium. The 9th ranked Spartans (39-6-1), lost 6-5 in
10 innings to the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in first
round action.
