ABCA All-Region Team Features Eight from SLIAC

The ABCA, in partnership with Rawlings, announced their 2015 NCAA Division III All-Region teams this week. A total of nine players from the SLIAC earned All-Region honors by the organization; Tyler Branneky, Josh Fleming, Deion Hughes, Jeff Kammer, Will Miller, Matt Mokriakow, Ryan Mosby, Dylan Dean Smith, and Kyle Uhrich.

Webster University's Dylan Dean Smith, a pitcher, and Kyle Uhrich, a first baseman, earned First Team honors while third baseman Jeff Kammer and pitcher Josh Fleming picked up Second Team honors. Westminster College's Tyler Branneky, a third baseman; Deion Hughes, utility; and Will Miller, a pitcher, all earned Second Team honors. Blackburn College's Matt Mokriawkow, an outfielder, and Spalding University's Ryan Mosby, a pitcher, also earned Second Team All-Region honors.

The 2015 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Div. III All-Region teams are voted on by members of the American Baseball Coaches Association and the process is led by the ABCA NCAA Div. III All-America Committee. The ABCA, founded in 1945, is the primary professional organization for baseball coaches at the amateur level. Its over 6,600 members represent all 50 states and 23 countries. Since its initial meeting of 27 college baseball coaches in June 1945, Association membership has broadened to include eight divisions: NCAA Division I, II and III, NAIA, Junior College, Pacific Association Division, High School and Youth. The 72nd annual ABCA Convention will be held Jan. 7-10, 2016 in Nashville, Tennessee.
