Webster University baseball's Jeff Kammer, has earned his second spot at third base on the d3baseball.com Team of the Week this spring for his performance from April 20-26. Kammer, a senior from Chesterfield, MO (Lafayette HS) helped the Gorloks to a 3-1 record and a return to the national top 25 polls.
Kammer was an offensive force for the week. He was 12-17, batting .706 with two home runs, three doubles, 11 RBIs, six runs scored, and two stolen bases. Kammer had a 1.235 slugging percentage on the week and a .722 on-base percentage.
He raised his batting average to .391 on the season and has nine home runs and 39 RBIs for the year. Kammer's nine home runs so far this season are tied for the for the sixth highest total in a single season for the Gorloks. Teammate Kyle Uhrich (SO, St. Louis, MO/Webster Groves HS) has 15 home runs so far, tied for the second highest total in a single season for Webster, and he currently leads the NCAA III in that category.
Webster is 27-10 overall on the season and 16-3 in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
