Fontbonne's Santarsiero Adds Weekly Honors
Fontbonne junior starting pitcher Vince Santarsiero added to his weekly honors. After being named the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week he was also named to D3Baseball.com's Team of the Week.
Santarsiero threw a no-hitter in the Griffins' 5-0 victory over Eureka College Saturday. The win sparked a series sweep of the Red Devils. The Florida native struck out seven, including three straight Red Devils looking in the sixth inning, while only walking two.
Santarsiero is the fourth player in Fontbonne history to complete the feat since 2010.
