SLIAC Baseball Players of the Week - April 24

This week's SLIAC Players of the Week are Ben Dinter, from Webster University and Kyle Olliges, from Spalding University.


SLIAC/DIAMOND SPORTS HITTER OF THE WEEK - APRIL 24
BEN DINTER, WEBSTER

Ben Dinter, a junior outfielder for Webster University, is the SLIAC/Diamond Sports Baseball Hitter of the Week. Dinter had an explosive week at the plate, hitting .500 over four games with three home runs and nine runs batted in. He homered in three straight games, helping the Gorloks to four conference wins on the week. Dinter was 6-for-12 at the plate, finishing the week with a 1.333 slugging percentage and six runs scored. He tallied four multi-hit games on the week as well.

KYLE OLLIGES, SPALDING UNIVERSITY

The SLIAC/Diamond Sports Baseball Pitcher of the Week is Spalding University's Kyle Olliges. Olliges, a senior from Louisville, Ky., was dominant in his only start on the week, a 12-1 win over Blackburn. Olliges set a school record with 16 strikeouts in the seven-inning conference win. He allowed just two hits in the game, with the only run coming on a solo home run.

  • Tanner Branneky, Westminster College (Baseball) Recorded eight hits over four games, all wins, with six runs scored.
  • Joey Clemente, Fontbonne University (Baseball) Clemente notched a shutout win over Iowa Wesleyan, allowing just two hits while striking out seven.
  • Josh Fleming, Webster University (Baseball) Fleming recorded a complete game shutout win over Eureka, going seven innings and allowing just three hits with 11 strikeouts.
  • Jesse Getz, Greenville College (Baseball) Getz tallied back to back three-hit games for the Panthers last week.
  • Isaac Lineberry, Spalding University (Baseball) Recorded three hits with four runs scored and five runs batted in during a doubleheader sweep of Blackburn.
