Webster's Bradfisch and Maichel Make NABC Honors Court

ST. LOUIS - Webster University men's basketball team members Cody Bradfisch and Gabe Maichel were named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) 2011-12 'Honors Court,' which recognizes players who excelled in academics this past year. They were part of a group of 285 players nationwide, at all NCAA Divisions and the NAIA, who were recognized.

Bradfisch, an education major from Jerseyville HS (IL) and Maichel, a music education major from West County Home School (MO), will both be seniors this coming year.

Eligibility for the NABC 'Honors Court' includes a student being at junior or senior level academically, and a member of their college's varsity basketball team. Candidates must have a 3.2 (on a 4.0 scale) or higher cumulative grade point average at the conclusion of the award year, and have attended their institution for at least one year.

Webster was the lone St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference member to have students honored for 2011-12. The men's basketball team, which won the SLIAC title this past winter, is coached by Chris Bunch.
