Tigers Close Season With Consolation Game Win

Steven Soukup (SR/Danville, IA) of Iowa Wesleyan University led the Tigers to a 94-87 victory over the Florida National University Conquistadors. Steven Soukup scored 37 total points and recorded 6 rebounds. Brock Butler (JR/Palmyra, MO) also added 24 points and 4 rebounds for the win.

Antonio Sims led the Conquistador's efforts recording 22 total points and 4 rebounds. In addition to Sims, Deontrae Dixon scored 21 points with 5 rebounds. Alvaro Simoza and Jermohn Queen each added 10 points to the Conquistador's efforts.

Additional Tigers contributors were Mitch Drey (SR/Gretna, NE) and CJ Singletary (JR/Evanston, IL). Drey added 11 points and 4 rebounds while Singleary added 10 points and 5 rebounds.

Tigers finish the year with an overall record of 18-9, with Steven Soukup being named a USCAA 1st Team All-American. Jordan Nutt (JR/Palmyra, MO), Steven Soukup, Brock Butler, Michael Soukup (SR/Danvillle, IA), and Josh Brase (JR/Riverside, IA) all earned USCAA National All-Academic Honors.
