Angie Carr, Wylie Mangelsdorf, and Marty Todt will join the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Hall of Fame as inductees of the Class of 2019. In addition, Matt Mitchell will receive the 2019 Lee McKinney Distinguished Service Award.

For the first time in SLIAC history, Eureka College and Webster University will meet in the Men's Basketball Tournament Championship game. Eureka tackled Greenville 163-146 while Webster held off Blackburn 70-68. This marks the fourth time in program history that the Red Devils will be searching for the program's first SLIAC tournament title while Webster is looking for their first since 2014.

Blackburn College, Eureka College, Greenville University, and Webster University edged out the remaining six teams in the SLIAC to qualify for the 2019 Men's Basketball Tournament. Webster secured hosting rights to the tournament after going 15-3 in conference play and winning their first outright SLIAC regular season title since 2012.

The Principia Men's Basketball team traveled to St. Louis to take on the Webster University Gorloks in their final game of the 2018-2019 season. The Panthers were coming off an incredible win over the Gorloks just 6 days earlier and hoped that the momentum from that game would translate into some success in this game as well. The game would ultimately come down to the wire, but the Panthers would end up falling to the Gorloks by a final score of 98-92.
