Principia and Webster Honored For Academic Excellence

The Principia College and Webster University men's basketball programs were honored by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) for team academic excellence this past season. Both teams received the Academic Excellence Award which recognizes outstanding academic achievement by a team with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or better for the 2017-18 season. In order to earn an NABC Team Academic Excellence Award, institutions in the NCAA, NAIA, and NJCAA must count the grade point averages of all men's student-athletes who competed during the 2017-18 season. This is the 6th year the award has been handed out by the national organization.

This marks the third time in the last six years that Principia (2014-15 & 2015-16) and Webster have earned the honor (2012-13 & 2015-16). Full list of 2017-18 NABC Team Academic Excellence award winners HERE
