Webster University hosted the Gorlok Spring Invitational this weekend, with nearly half the field consisting of teams from the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. Of the 16 teams in the field for the two day tournament, six were members of the SLIAC. Spalding University tied for second, the highest finish of any SLIAC team.

Spalding shot a two day score of 617, tying them with Millikin University, and putting them 20 strokes behind the winner Central College (Iowa). Spalding shot a second day low of 304 on Monday. Spalding had two players finish in the top ten individually with Jonathon Gandia shooting a 149, including a par 72 on the first day, tying him for fourth. Michael Vick shot a 151 to finish seventh individually.

Host school Webster University tied for fifth with a 638 while Iowa Wesleyan College cut 15 strokes off their first day score and finished with a two day total of 655 to place 12th. MacMurray College finished 13th with a 669 while Fontbonne University finished 14th with a 670 and Blackburn College was 16th with a 690.

Brodie Dakin of Webster finished tied for 14th individually with a 154 while teammate Tyler Thorman was 16th with a 155, lowering his score by nine strokes from the opening round. Iowa Wesleyan was led by Trent Hoekstra with a 158, tying him for 21st, while Fontbonne was led by Zane Betz with a 162, tying him for 33rd. Blackburn's Kyle Kesingel shot a 165, good for 41st, while MacMurray's Cory Cooper and Tarryn Link tied for 46th with a 166.
