Gupton Added To Spalding Golf Coaching Staff
Spalding University would like to announce the addition of Grant Gupton to the men's golf coaching staff, and will serve as an assistant coach under Head Coach Michael Carter.
Prior to joining the staff at SU, Gupton was a multiple-gold medalist Special Olympics golfer, as well as worked as a videographer for the Red & Blue Review TV Network.
The 27 year old Gupton was born in Jacksonville, Florida and diagnosed with Down Syndrome. Despite enduring 23 surgeries to repair a variety of physical challenges, Grant is unfailingly optimistic, upbeat and cheerful.
Grant is a graduate of the Brown School in Louisville, Ky. His younger brother, Gray Gupton, is a member of the Spalding men's golf program, and sister, Grace Gupton, played intercollegiate golf at Campbellsville University.
Grant's parents are Garry and Terrie Gupton who reside in Simpsonville, Kentucky.
