Mathis To Take Over MacMurray Golf Programs

MacMurray College is pleased to add Wade Mathis as the new men's and women's Head Golf Coach. Mathis earned his Bachelor of Arts in Management and Organizational Leadership from Illinois College and was a member of the varsity golf squad for four seasons. During his time at IC, Mathis also was a member of Lambda Pi Eta Honor Society and Alpha Phi Omega Service Fraternity.

"I'm getting an awesome opportunity to take over at a great program," Mathis said. "There's a lot of credit due to Coach Derek James for improving the golf program over the past few years, and I'm looking to build on the success that he had as the former coach."

The Highlanders open the season on Monday, Sept. 18 at the Jacksonville Country Club.
