Householder and Suarez Take Golf Weekly Honors

SLIAC Men's Golf Player of the Week Jaime Suarez is the first SLIAC Golf Player of the Week winner for the 2018 season after a first-place finish in his collegiate debut. Suarez shot a two-round score of 144 in the Iowa City Shootout, besting 22 other golfers. After a first-round 75, he shot a tournament-best 69 in round two. For the tournament, he finished six strokes ahead of the second-place finisher while helping the Tigers to a team win as well. |

SLIAC Women's Golf Player of the Week Hannah Householder, a senior from Nevada, Mo., claims Player of the Week honors after opening the season by competing in the Rhodes Invitational. Householder shot an 86 in the only round of the event as day two was washed out. Her score led the Griffins, who finished with a team score of 357. |
