Two Men's, Six Women's SLIAC Soccer Players Earn NSCAA Scholar All-Region

ST. LOUIS - Two men's and six women's St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) soccer players have earned 2009 NSCAA Scholar All-North/Central Region honors.

Eureka College's David Crady was a Second Team selection. Crady, a junior, midfielder from Germantown Hills, Ill., is an Environmental Science major with a 3.55 grade point average. Westminster College's Michael Tulley was a Honorable Mention selection. Tuley, a senior, defender from Ballwin, Mo., is an Accounting major with a 3.93 grade point average.

Webster University's Kristin Garlich and Christy Capkovic were both Third Team Scholar All-Central Region selections. Garlich, a senior, defender, from St. Louis, Mo. is a Psychology major with a 3.72 grade point average. Capkovic, a junior, forward, from St. Louis, Mo., is an Education major with a 3.43 grade point average.

Also from Webster earning Honorable Mention was Dana Vahey. Vahey, a senior, midfielder, from Florissant, Mo., is an Education major with a 3.66 grade point average. Westminster College's Melissa Fandl, Maegan Buzzetta and Alexandra Johnson were also Honorable Mention selections. Fandl, a senior, defender, from High Ridge, Mo., is an Education major with a concentration in Middle School Science and a 3.30 grade point average. Buzzetta, a senior, midfielder, from Hazelwood, Mo., is also an Eduction major with a concentration in Middle School Science and a 3.60 grade point average. Johnson, a junior, midfielder, from Fulton, Mo., is an Education major with a concentration in Middle School Science and a 3.68 grade point average.
