SLIAC and Webster Hall of Famer Signs To Play Professionally

Former Webster University soccer player Pat McSheehy has signed a professional contract with the St. Louis Ambush of the Major Indoor Soccer League.

McSheehy, a 2002 graduate, was a standout defender for the Gorloks. He was chosen conference Player of the Year by the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) his junior season and voted to the all-conference team three times.

McSheehy's contributions helped Webster attain its first-ever NCAA national tournament berth in 1999 and a repeat berth the following year.

McSheehy, also a four-year letterwinner in baseball, is a member of the SLIAC Hall of Fame (2009 induction) and Webster Athletic Hall of Fame (2010).

He is the only two-time Webster student-athlete of the year. He graduated with a degree in management.

The Ambush, guided by Head Coach Daryl Doran, will play home games at the Family Arena in St. Charles, Mo.
