Trio of SLIAC Men's Soccer Players Earn NSCAA Scholar All-Region Honors

Westminster College's Muhle Dlamini, Webster University's Jeff Wallner, and Spalding University's Deron Buehner were among the student-athletes recognized by the NSCAA as part of the 2014 NSCAA Scholar All-Region Teams.

Muhle Dlamini, a senior defender fom Simunye, Swaziland, is majoring in International Business/Finance and has a 3.68 grade point average. Dlamini was named Second Team Scholar All-Region and helped guide the Blue Jays to their second consecutive NCAA Division III National Tournament appearance, earning First Team All-Conference honors. Westminster finished the 2014 season with an 11-8-1 overall record and a 7-1-1 mark in the SLIAC, capturing their second consecutive SLIAC Tournament title.

Jeff Wallner, a senior defender from Eureka, Mo., is majoring in Secondary Education/Mathematics and holds a 3.97 grade point average. He earned Honorable Mention Scholar All-Region honors by the NSCAA. On the field Wallner earned Third Team All-Conference honors this year while helping the Gorloks go undefeated in conference play and 10-9-2 overall. Deron Buehner, a senior defender from Louisville, Ky., holds a 3.94 grade point average while majoring in Business Administration. Buehner, was named Honorable Mention Scholar All-Region, helping Spalding finish the year 12-6-1 overall and 6-2-1 in the conference, earning a berth into the SLIAC Tournament for the first time in program history.
