Blue Jays Trio Named NSCAA All-Region

The Westminster men's soccer team had three student-athletes named to the 2015 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-Region team. 

Westminster's junior midfielder Tripp Sheehan landed on the All-Central Region Second Team, while junior keeper Raul Belman and junior forward Drew Cook were named to the All-Central Region Third Team. 

Sheehan was the 2015 SLIAC Offensive Player of the Year and an All-Conference First Team selection. He played in all 20 games and led the team with 39 points. He scored 12 goals and led the team with 15 assists on the season. He scored two game-winning goals and held a .522 shot-on-goal percentage. 

Belman earned SLIAC Defensive Player of the Year honors as well as a spot on the All-Conference First Team after his record breaking season. He posted a 14-3 record, breaking the season wins record. He also broke the career wins record and currently holds 36 wins throughout three years with Westminster. He recorded six shutouts on the season and held a 0.68 goals-against average. He finished the season with a .833 save percentage, allowing just 10 goals throughout 17 games and stopping 50 shots-on-goal.

Cook was a SLIAC All-Conference First Team recipient. He led the team with Sheehan with 12 goals including one game-winning goal in the 2-1 conference championship win over Webster to send the team to the NCAA Tournament.
