Keller Finishes as NCAA Leader in Two Categories

Sophomore standout Kaleb Keller has been named the NCAA Division 3 Statistical Champion for Points Per Game and Goals per Game!  With 1.69 goals per game, Keller actually led the country, including Division I, II and III in goals per game.  Keller also led the country, Division I, II and III in points per game with 3.92 ppg this season!*
Also a couple of noteworthy facts, Kaleb is also #1 in NCAA DIII for shots per game and shots on goal per game and although he did not lead the country in total goals for the season, Kaleb has 22 goals in 13 games while the DIII leader has 25 goals in 20 games.

After learning that he was the statistical champion and led the country in goals per game and points per game, Keller commented, "I want to say thank you to my whole team for an awesome season and the coaches Jess and Kipp. My big brother for playing with me the past two years. The whole team worked so hard for this season. I couldn't have done it without them."

Head Principia College Men's Soccer Coach, Jess Semnacher had this to say about Keller's achievements this season, "This recognition is well deserved. Kaleb really has been an outstanding player for us.  His nose for the goal, striking ability, artistry with the ball and dynamic athleticism are what set him apart from others.  I know, firsthand, all the work Kaleb has put into becoming the player he is and I am very proud of him.  I am looking forward to seeing further success in his career."

Listed below are the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference statistics for the 2018 season and the Principia College all-time records that Keller broke this season.  While Keller seemed to break every Principia record in the book this year, he has something to shoot for in the future as he is still just shy of Ricky Seaman's (C.06-09) record of 46 career goals (Keller has 40) and Seaman's 107 career points (Keller has 89).
