2016-17 Men's Tennis Player of the Week

APRIL 24 - NATE WIELAND, GREENVILLE COLLEGE
Nate Wieland is the SLIAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week. Wieland, a junior from Mascoutah, Ill., recorded a pair of wins last week against Westminster College. Wieland, playing at #1 singles for Greenville, topped his opponent 6-2, 2-6, 6-3 and followed with a 8-4 win in doubles.

APRIL 17 - NAT KENWORTHY, PRINCIPIA COLLEGE
Nat Kenworthy helped Principia College clinch an undefeated SLIAC regular season, earning him Player of the Week honors. Kenworthy, a sophomore from Perth, Australia, recorded a pair of conference wins last week over Greenville College. He picked up a 6-3, 6-4 win at #3 singles and followed with an 8-1 win at #2 doubles, with his teammate Jules Kitchingman.

APRIL 10 - GREG SOVIE, PRINCIPIA COLLEGE
Greg Sovie, a freshman at Principia College, is the SLIAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week. Sovie, from Maggie Valley, N.C., won all four matches on the week, including both of his singles matches. Sovie, playing at #2 singles, topped his opponents 6-1, 6-0 in both outings. He added an 8-5 win over Westminster and an 8-2 win over Webster in #1 doubles play.

APRIL 3 - JULES KITCHINGMAN, PRINCIPIA COLLEGE
Jules Kitchingman is this week's St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week. Kitchingman, a sophomore at Principia College, picked up a pair of wins in conference play last week. He tallied a 6-1, 6-2 win at #1 singles, defeating Sebastian Culton of Fontbonne University; and followed with an 8-0 win at #2 doubles, teaming with partner Nat Kenworthy.
