SLIAC Tennis Players of the Week - April 17

This week's SLIAC Players of the Week are Caitlin Carney, from Principia College and Nat Kenworthy, from Principia College.

SLIAC MEN'S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK - APRIL 17 NAT KENWORTHY, PRINCIPIA COLLEGE Nat Kenworthy helped Principia College clinch an undefeated SLIAC regular season, earning him Player of the Week honors. Kenworthy, a sophomore from Perth, Australia, recorded a pair of conference wins last week over Greenville College. He picked up a 6-3, 6-4 win at #3 singles and followed with an 8-1 win at #2 doubles, with his teammate Jules Kitchingman.

SLIAC WOMEN'S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK - APRIL 17 CAITLIN CARNEY, PRINCIPIA COLLEGE Principia College's Caitlin Carney went undefeated in six conference outings last week, playing at #3 singles and #1 doubles. Carney edged out her rival Webster for a 7-5, 7-6 (5) win, and added identical 6-0, 6-1 scores in her other two singles matches. Carney tacked on three more wins in doubles, teaming with Paige Cooley.

Other Notables:

• Eric Bateman, Webster University (Men's Tennis) Bateman notched five wins last week including a conference win at #6 singles over Westminster College.
• Stephanie Lass, Webster University (Women's Tennis) Lass went 4-0 last week and has now won 10 of her last 11 singles matches and 9 of her last 10 doubles matches.
• Nate Wieland, Greenville College (Men's Tennis) Wieland went 5-1 on the week including a 6-1, 6-0 win at #1 singles over Franklin College.
