SLIAC Men's Tennis Duo Earns ITA Award

SLIAC men's tennis programs from Principia College and Webster University picked up ITA All-Academic Team honors for this past season along with 13 total players being named scholar-athletes. Principia College and Webster University were two of 940 programs across all collegiate tennis levels, and just two of 124 NCAA Division III programs, to earn All-Academic Team honors for the 2018-19 season.

Principia College was represented by Wyatt Dale, Peter Griswold, Julian Kitchingman, Elliott Matthiesen, Gregory Sovie, Brody Swan, and Dan Wagstaff.

Webster University was represented by Nicolas Andrade, Harsh Jaswal, Justin Kohler, Austin Nation, Parker Schaefer, and Tom Shutzman.

To qualify for the award, teams must have a cumulative team grade point average of 3.20 or above (on a 4.00 scale). Grades for all varsity athletes are taken from both the Fall 2018 semester and the Spring 2019 semester. In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status a player must meet the following criteria: be a varsity letter winner, have a grade point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year, and have been enrolled at their present school for at least 2 semesters.
