SLIAC Teams Compete at Wash U Invite

Several St. Louis Collegiate Athletic Conference teams competed this weekend in the Wash U Invite, with the Greenville College men's team placing the highest among conference squads. Greenville finished 10th in the field of 27 capturing two event titles.

Greenville took first place in both the 100 meter race and the 4x100 relay. Bruce Gray had a hand in both events, winning the 100 meter race with a time of 10.71 seconds. He was also a part of the 4x100 relay team which won with a time of 42.29 seconds.

Webster finished in 11th place, highlighted by a win in the 10,000 meter race were Jason Hickson took first with a time of 32:44.77. Haile Wilson took third place in the 100 meter race with a time of 11.05, and joining Gray from Greenville, gave the SLIAC two of the top three finishers in the race.

Principia finished 14th and took home the javelin title. Geoffrey Hibbs won the even with a distance of 53.60 meters.

Westminster rounded out the team finishes with a 22nd place finish in the field. Daniel Lindaman finished fourth in the 10,000 meter race, recording a time of 32:57.11.
