Six SLIAC Programs Earn USTFCCCA Academic Award; Fontbonne Women Tops in D3

A total of six men's and women's track and field programs from the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) earned the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Academic Award for the 2015-16 season with the Fontbonne University women's team achieving the highest grade-point average in all of NCAA Division III.

Fontbonne University and Principia College each had their men's and women's programs receive the team Academic Award this season while the women's team from Greenville College and Webster University also picked up the honor.

The Fontbonne women's track and field team posted the highest grade-point average in NCAA Division III this past season with a 3.84 cumulative mark. In order to be eligible for the team academic award, team cumulative GPA's had to be 3.1 or greater. There were a total of 112 men's teams and 175 women's team to be awarded the USTFCCCA Team Academic Award this season.
