SLIAC Men's Track and Field Players of the Week - March 27

This week's SLIAC Men's Track and Field Players of the Week are Caleb Clemons, from Webster University and Jamie York, from Webster University.


SLIAC MEN'S FIELD PLAYER OF THE WEEK - MARCH 27
JAMIE YORK, WEBSTER UNIVERSITY

Jamie York is the SLIAC Men's Field Player of the Week after an impressive debut for the Gorloks in the outdoor track season. York, a freshman from Troy, Mo., had two top five finishes including a first-place finish at Culver-Stockton. York placed first in the hammer throw with a distance of 41.93 meters. He actually topped that throw earlier in the week, 44.27 meters, at Rhodes where he finished 5th and setting a Webster record. York also set a school record in the discus at Rhodes with a distance of 35.58 meters.

CALEB CLEMONS, WEBSTER UNIVERSITY

Caleb Clemons, from Webster University, takes home the first SLIAC Men's Track Player of the Week award this season. Clemons, a sophomore from Florissant, Mo., set a Webster program record in the 100-meter dash last week. Clemons finished with a time of 10.76 seconds, placing him eighth in the field, and giving him the top time in Division III so far this season. Clemons also competed in the 200-meter dash, finishing in 22.46 seconds, second fastest among Division III runners.
