SLIAC Trio Sweeps 200 Meters at National

The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference can lay claim to home of the best 200-meter runners in NCAA Division III after a trio of student-athletes from the SLIAC swept the race. Principia College's Corey Carter finished in 1st place while Webster University' Jacob Ridenhour took 2nd place and Greenville University's Jeremiah Davis was 3rd overall.

Carter, who earlier in the day was disqualified for a false start in the 100-meter dash, put that behind him and raced to a win in the 200-meter dash with a time of 20.89 seconds, a personal best time. Ridenhour ran a time of 21.07 seconds, setting a school record while Davis finished just behind with a time of 21.08 seconds. With their finish all three runners earn All-American honors.

This is the third All-American honor for Carter, while Ridenhour is the first Gorlok to earn such honors. Davis continues a streak for Greenville of at least one All-American dating back to the 2012 season.
