Alessandro to lead KIDS Center for Pediatric Therapies Team Ability

437Spalding University Head Cross Country and Track & Field Coach Kevin Alessandro has been recruited to be the lead volunteer for the KIDS Center for Pediatric Therapies. Alessandro will oversee the recruitment and fundraising of Team Ability, a group of individuals committed to participate in the Kentucky Derby Festival Mini/Marathon in April while fundraising to meet the needs of the communities most valued assets, children.

Since 1959, the Kids Center for Pediatric Therapies has been helping children with special needs. Each week we see over 300 children facing challenges such as autism, Down syndrome, spina bifida, and cerebral palsy. We help these children and their families discover the ability in disability.

Alessandro said, "I am excited to give my time and energy to this initiative. I know that my personal and professional connections within the Louisville area will step up and help me elevate Team Ability."

A kickoff/information session for the program will be held at the KIDS Center for Pediatric Therapies on Tuesday, January 13th.  Attendees will begin a tour at 4:00 p.m., and meet from 5:15-6:15 p.m.

Those interested in joining Team Ability can contact Kevin Alessandro at [email protected] with questions, and Becki Rucker at [email protected] to RSVP for tour and kickoff.
