Five SLIAC Teams Earn Easton/NFCA All-Academic Team Honors

The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference had five institutions earn 2015-16 Easton/NFCA Division III All-Academic Team honors while a total of six schools placed student-athletes on the Scholar-Athlete list.

Fontbonne University, Iowa Wesleyan University, Spalding University, Webster University, and Westminster College all earned All-Academic Team honors with Fontbonne recording the second highest team grade-point average in Division III with a 3.662 mark. Iowa Wesleyan also placed in the top ten with a 3.509 while Westminster recorded a 3.441, Webster held a 3.320 average, and Spalding finished with a team mark of 3.256. The SLIAC was one of only two conferences in Division III with two teams in the top ten of the list, the NEWMAC (New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference). A total of 92 schools across Division III earned 2015-16 All-Academic Team honors. For a full list click HERE

In addition six SLIAC school's had student-athletes named 2015-16 Easton/NFCA Division III Scholar-Athlete. Fontbonne and Iowa Wesleyan led the way with each placing 10 players on the list while Webster and Westminster each had nine. From Fontbonne University: Michelle Boyer, Madalyn Cooksey, Isabel Hotop, Sarah Kitchen, Courtney Kraus, Alleigh Kruse, Melanie Russo, Lindsay Schaefer, Emily Smith, and Kayla Walker.

From Iowa Wesleyan University: Michaela Brewer, Naomi Dalton, Sheridan Gealow, Sara Gragg, Summer Johnson, Samantha McIlwain, Caitlin O'Neill, Skyler Rodgers, Kassie Vazquez, and Alli Willis.

From Principia College: Samantha Bronkar, Tori Cheatham, Anna McMullen, Aleigha Russell, Leah Schaefer, Noelle Shoemake, and Kelsey Whitney.

From Spalding University: Robyn Schoen, Alyssa McAfee, Amber Kilburn, Brooke Lamon, and Shelby Kilgore.

From Webster University: Karissa Cardenas, Sidney Coleman, Emily Kolisch, Alexis Spriggs, Katelyn Sullens, Kelsey Donohue, Katlyn Garza, Chelsea Thornley, and Chyanne Fulmer.

From Westminster College: Anne Baker, Erica Burney, Alyson Hahn, Brittany Hodge, Leah Holthaus, Alyssa Johnson, Madison McKindley, Kim Morrison, and Shannon Perrigo.
