This week's SLIAC Players of the Week are Kali George, from Eureka College and Krysten Wallace, from Eureka College.


SLIAC SOFTBALL HITTER OF THE WEEK - APRIL 24
KRYSTEN WALLACE, EUREKA COLLEGE

Krysten Wallace, from Eureka College, is the SLIAC Softball Hitter of the Week after leading the Red Devils offense to four conference wins. Wallace hit .714 with three runs batted in and three stolen bases on the week. She also drew four walks and finished the week with a .833 on-base percentage. Wallace's best game was her 3-for-3 day that helped spark a Red Devil come from behind win over Fontbonne.


SLIAC SOFTBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK - APRIL 24
KALI GEORGE, EUREKA COLLEGE

The SLIAC Softball Pitcher of the Week is Kali George, from Eureka College. George, a junior from East Peoria, Ill., picked up two conference wins in the circle last week for the Red Devils including the program's first win over Fontbonne since 2008. George worked 12 scoreless innings, allowing just six hits while striking out four and walking none.

Other Notables:

  • Erica Burney, Westminster College (Softball) Burney was 6-for-9 at the plate last week, driving in three runs over four games.
  • Abby Burroughs, Webster University (Softball) Burroughs tallied four hits and three RBI in a doubleheader sweep of MacMurray.
  • Alyson Hahn, Westminster College (Softball) Hahn notched two wins while throwing 10 innings and allowing no runs.
  • Kerrigan Horn, MacMurray College (Softball) Hit .533 with eight runs scored over six games last week, finishing with a .867 slugging percentage.
  • Chelsea Thornley, Webster University (Softball) Thornley was impactful in two relief outings last week, coming out of the pen to record a pair of wins. She worked six innings, allowing no runs while striking out five.
