Four SLIAC Programs Earn NFCA Academic Team Honors

Greenville University, Iowa Wesleyan University, Spalding University, and Webster University each earned 2017 NFCA Academic Team Honors. The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) released their annual academic honors this past week, honoring programs from all collegiate and high prep levels. 

Iowa Wesleyan was the highest finisher in the rankings, placing 28th among NCAA Division III schools with a 3.501 team grade-point average. 

Greenville placed 46th with a 3.45 mark while Webster was 49th with a 3.445 average. Spalding wrapped up conference members on the list with a 3.41 team mark, finishing 61st nationally. 

There were a total of 125 programs from NCAA Division III to earn NFCA Team Academic Honors. For a complete list of those programs honored click HERE Next week the NFCA will announce their full list of student-athletes to earn NFCA All-America Scholar Athlete honors.
