NFCA Honors Scholar-Athletes

The National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced the full list of recipients for their 2017 Easton Division III Scholar-Athletes and a total of 67 student-athletes from around the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference earned honors. A total of seven teams from the SLIAC had representatives on the list with four schools placing double-digits on the list.

Westminster College led the way for SLIAC schools with 13 players on the list. Those making the list were: Anne Baker, Erica Burney, Kayllin Calton, Josie Cotter, Alyson Hahn, Brittany Hodge, Alexis Knisley, Brooke Laidley, Kimberly Morrison, Kayla Pilgram, Katherine Price, Angela Vanderpluym, and Bailey Johnson.

Webster University had 12 players earn honors: Karissa Cardenas, Sidney Coleman, Emily Kolisch, AJ Spriggs, Katelyn Sullens, Kelsey Donohue, Katlyn Garza, Tessa Johanning, Morgan Mansur, Chelsea Thornley, Chyanne Fulmer, and Abby Burroughs.

Fontbonne University and Greenville University were each represented by 10 players. Griffins earning the honors are Madalyn Cooksey, Isabel Hotop, Courtney Kedroski, Sarah Kitchen, Alleigh Kruse, Emelia Modglin, Alyssa Pisarek, Melanie Russo, Madeline Strickland, and Kayla Winkler. 

Greenville was represented by Amanda Atteberry, Emi Hug, Kate Jolliff, Josie Koontz, Becca Oldham, Caitie Opp, Kearsta Ornellas, Cayla Speaks, Jordyn Wieland, and Karissa Woody.

Iowa Wesleyan placed nine players on the list: Ashley Aponte, Julie Dodd, Sheridan Gealow, Samantha McIlwain, Caitlin O'Neill, Skyler Rodgers, Abigail Shelton, Sydnee Stalker, and Kassandra Vazquez. 

Spalding University had seven players: Amber Kilburn, Brianna Eatmon, Brooke Lamon, Grace Terrell, Olivia Leet, Robyn Schoen, and Sam Klein.

Principia College was represented by six players: Samantha Bronkar, Lauren Daugherty, Anna Christian McMullen, Germaine Nyiramana, Aleigha Russell, and Leah Schaefer.
