Webster's Meyer Selected as Jewish Sports Review Basketball All-American

ST. LOUIS - Webster University women's basketball player Katy Meyer (JR, Parkway Central HS, STL) was named a Women's College Basketball 2009-10 First Team All-American by the Jewish Sports Review.  Meyer, a 5'10" forward for the Gorloks, averaged 10.9 points and 6.2 rebounds per game in the 2009-10 season. 

She set the Webster women's mark for three-pointers (52) in a season while hitting 41% of her attempts.  Meyer is second on Webster's career list with 113 three-pointers and fourth in rebounds with 466.  Sitting in eighth place with 797 career points, Meyer hopes to become just the fifth player in Gorlok history to join the 1000 point club. 

She has been a St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic All-Conference selection all three years, 2nd Team in 2009-10 and Honorable Mention in 2007-08, 2008-09.  Meyer has also been a two-time SLIAC Player of the Week selection.
