Styles Named D3hoops.com Central Region Rookie of the Year

D3hoops.com released the 2014-15 All-Region teams, and Spalding University forward Kayla Styles has been named the All-Central Region Rookie of the Year.

Styles, a Louisville, Ky. native and graduate of Manual High School, helped lead the Golden Eagles to a school-record 22-5 record, SLIAC regular season and tournament championship and second straight NCAA Tournament berth. In addition, Styles was named the SLIAC Newcomer of the Year and SLIAC Tournament MVP.

For the season, Styles averaged 17.5 points, 10 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 2.3 blocks and 2.2 steals per game, and tallied a 11 double-doubles helping SU finish the season ranked 1st in the nation in rebound margin and 9th in offensive rebounds.
