Westminster Tied for 16th in WBCA Academic Top 25
The Westminster women's basketball team finished the 2014-15 season with a 3.507 team grade point average (GPA), tying for 16th place in the Women's Basketball Coaches' Association (WBCA) Division III Academic Top 25 Honor Roll.
"I am really proud of this group of ladies," states Head Coach Tracey Braden. "They work hard not only on the court, but in the classroom as well. They truly represent what Division III student-athletes are all about!" The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III is home to 450 colleges and universities.

With this year's WBCA Academic Top 25 Honor Roll, the Westminster Blue Jays have marked their name on the list for the fourth consecutive year and the fivth time overall. The Blue Jays ranked number one in the nation last year and placed fourth the previous year.
This year, Nebraska Wesleyan University placed first for the NCAA Division III with a 3.650 team GPA. Westminster College is the only team from the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference to be ranked in the WBCA Academic Top 25 Poll.
The WBCA Academic Top 25 Honor Roll presented by AT&T annually recognizes each collegiate division's women's basketball teams across the nation that carry the highest combined team GPA inclusive of all student-athletes on their rosters for the entire season.The combined GPA is calculated by dividing the total number of quality points earned by the total number of hours attempted by all team members for the school year. The 2014-15 season is the 20th in which the WBCA has compiled the honor rolls.
