Panthers Assigned to Washington-St. Louis in NCAA Opener

The Greenville women's basketball team has been placed in the NCAA regional, hosted by Washington - St. Louis.  The Panthers qualified for their first NCAA national tournament by winning the championship of the SLIAC tournament.

Greenville (20-7) will play the host on Friday at 7:30 p.m.

The winner of Greenville and Washington - St. Louis will face the winner of Bluffton and Wisconsin - Whitewater on Saturday.  Bluffton and Whitewater will precede the Greenville game at 5:30 p.m. Friday.

Washington was the University Athletic Association regular season champion, Bluffton won the Heartland College Athletic Conference tournament, and Whitewater was an At-Large selection from the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

The Lady Panthers have not played any opponents in the NCAA tournament field.
