SLIAC Among Elite In WBCA Academic Team Honor Rolls

The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) had two teams receive recognition in the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Academic Top 25 Team Honor Rolls. Greenville University and Westminster College received recognition, both landing in the top four in NCAA Division III Women's Basketball.

With Greenville and Westminster both landing in the top four in Division III, the SLIAC is just one of two conferences to place a pair of teams in the top five of their respective division. The other conference is the Northeast Conference in Division I.

Westminster College finished second among NCAA Division III women's basketball programs with a team cumulative grade point average of 3.669, with coach Tracey Braden's team just missing out on top honors by 0.004 points.

Greenville University placed fourth in NCAA Division III with a team average of 3.641 and are coached by Roy Mulholland.

Teams are nominated for the honor by the WBCA-member head coach. A team must have a 3.000 or better GPA to be nominated. 

The Women's Basketball Coaches Association is the professional association for coaches of women's and girls' basketball at all levels of competition.
