The women's basketball team will head to the first and second rounds of the NCAA Division III tournament hosted by WashU in St. Louis, Mo.  The Panthers qualified for their second NCAA national tournament by winning the championship of the SLIAC tournament on Saturday. Greenville (23-4) has tied the school record established in 2016-17 for wins in a season, and they will play No. 11 George Fox (24-3) on Friday at 5 p.m. in Washington University Field House.

The 2019 St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Championship game lived up to its billing as the top two seeds of the tournament, Greenville University and Spalding University, met on Saturday. The foes split the regular season matchup and the championship game was just as even with 11 lead changes and 4 ties. But after 40 minutes of play, it was Greenville that claims the 2019 SLIAC tournament title with a 72-66 win.

The Google Cloud Academic All-District® Women's Basketball Team, selected by CoSIDA, was released this morning. For the second straight year, Darby Massner (SR/Mediapolis, IA) received first team honors. She was one of 37 student-athletes in NCAA Division III and was one of six individuals representing District 8.

After missing out on the last two SLIAC Women's Basketball Tournaments Spalding University finds themselves in the 2019 Championship game where they will face Greenville University. Spalding, the #2 seed, defeated #3 seeded Westminster 75-67 in the first game of the night while top-seeded and host Greenville bested Webster University 68-65 in overtime in the night's second game.

The 2019 SLIAC Women's Basketball Tournament field features the only four teams that recorded double-digit conference wins this season; Greenville University, Spalding University, Webster University, and Westminster College. It marks the first time since the 2015-16 season that at least four teams have reached that mark.
