Adams and Martin Honored by D3hoops.com

Kendahl Adams and Alex Martin were honored by D3hoops.com as All-Central Region performers for the 2018-19 season in women's basketball. This is the second straight year that Adams has earned All-Region honors while Martin is just the second player in SLIAC history to earn a spot on the All-Region First Team.

Adams, a senior, averaged 19.6 points and 8.9 rebounds per game this season while finishing second in the league with 100 assists. She finished her Blue Jay career with 1,031 points; doing so in just 53 games and was named First Team All-Conference. Adams also earned Third Team honors last season and she is the first SLIAC player to be named All-Region in back-to-back seasons since Caty Eeten (Eureka College) in 2013 and 2014.

Martin, a senior guard at Spalding University, was a First Team selection after being named the 2019 SLIAC Women's Basketball Player of the Year. She averaged 16.5 points and 6.3 rebounds per game while also finishing with 71 assists and 50 steals. Martin ranked in the top 15 in the conference in all four categories and finished as the Golden Eagles career leader in assists and steals while reaching the 1,000 point club in early December. She joins Webster University's Halley Spann (2002) as the only SLIAC players to receive First Team All-Region honors.
