Berna Joins MacMurray Soccer Coaching Staff

Jacksonville, Ill. - Arielle Berna enters her first year on MacMurray's coaching staff this fall. Coach Berna will assist head soccer coach Jacob Ramos with strategy on the field, as well as recruitment for women's and men's soccer.

"Arielle brings a quality background and a good amount of soccer experience to the MacMurray soccer program," said Dane Pavlovich, Athletic Director. "We are excited to have Arielle on our athletic staff because of her demonstrated work ethic, knowledge base, and the connections she will make with our student-athletes."

A Florida native, Coach Berna finished her playing career at Illinois College this past season after playing at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Mo. for three seasons. Berna was voted team captain by her coaches and teammates in 2007 at Lindenwood University. In 2009, Berna helped the Lady Blues at Illinois College achieve more wins and give up fewer goals than their previous season.

"I am extremely excited to join the soccer program here at MacMurray College," said Berna. "MacMurray is on the move and I am honored to be a part of this institution doing what I love with the game I enjoy most!"

Coach Berna finished a bachelor's in exercise science with an emphasis in strength and conditioning at Illinois College this summer.
