Women's Soccer Chicago Bound in NCAA III First Round

The Webster University women's soccer team will be headed to Chicago again for a first round match-up in the NCAA III Championships, this time facing the host University of Chicago on November 15 at 11:00 a.m.  Live stats and video will be available for the games.  Access can be found at the Regional website HERE

Webster, winner of the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference regular season title, and the SLIAC Tournament, will enter the NCAA Regional on a 10 game winning streak.  The is Webster's third straight NCAA appearance and 11th in the program's 16 years of competition.  Webster was 9-0 in the SLIAC and is 14-4-3 overall on the season.  The Gorloks are ninth in the Central Region in the most recent National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) rankings.

The Gorloks, who were matched against Wheaton College in Chicago their last two NCAA appearances, will take on the University of Chicago.  The Maroons are 13-4-1 overall and are ranked 16th nationally in this week's NSCAA national poll, and third in the Central Region.. Chicago finished second in the University Athletic Association (UAA) at 4-2-1.  Washington University won the UAA league title.

The Maroons are making their second-straight appearance in the NCAA postseason and 14th overall. They will take on Webster in the first round on Saturday at 11:00 a.m.  The winner will take on the victor of the other Regional semi-final, Augsburg College vs. University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.  The Regional championship will be at 1:00 p.m. on November 16.

For those fans planning on attending in person, admission is $6 for adults, $3 for students and senior citizens, $2 for ages 3-12. Webster University students will be admitted FREE with a Webster student ID.
