2015 Women's Soccer Players of the Week

Nov. 2
(Offensive) Kayla Dye, Webster University
Dye, a sophomore from St. Louis, Mo., picked up SLIAC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week after helping her team clinch first place in the SLIAC standings and earn a #1 seed in the upcoming tournament. Down 1-0 against Greenville Dye helped set up the game-tying goal early in the second-half. Then with just 2:22 left in overtime Dye buried the game-winner, her sixth goal of the season.

(Defensive) Kelsey Kaiser, Spalding University
Kaiser, a junior from Louisvlle, Ky., made the most of her only appearance in net last week; picking a key 2-1 win over Westminster. Kaiser made seven saves in the contest including stopping a penalty kick and allowed just one goal. She finished with an .875 save percentage and with the win helped her team secure the #2 seed in the SLIAC Tournament.

Oct. 26
(Offensive) Dee Dee Sliter, Spalding University
Sliter, a junior from Louisville, Ky., paced the Golden Eagles attack in two wins last week. Trailing 1-0 against Webster Sliter helped set up the tying goal with just over two-minutes left in regulation. She then tallied the game winner from 22-yards out in overtime. Against Blackburn Sliter netted two goals including the game-winner. On the week she finished with three goals and one assist in two wins, scoring all three goals on just three shots.

(Defensive) Demi West, Spalding University
West, a junior from Sheffield, England, helped her team to a pair of conference wins last. West led the Golden Eagle defense that helped shut down the league's leading offense and hand Webster their first conference loss this season. West and the Golden Eagles followed with a 5-0 shutout win over Blackburn, holding the Beavers to just four shots while chipping in with an assist in the win.

Oct. 19
(Offensive) Dani Pearce, Greenville College
Pearce, a freshman from Springfield, Mo., led the Panthers attack in picking up two conference wins last week. Against Principia Pearce netted the game winning goal in a 2-0 win. She followed with two goals and two assists in her team's win over Eureka, extending her team winning streak to three games. On the week she finished with four goals and two assists for 10 total points. She currently ranks third in the conference in total points this season.

(Defensive) Ashley Mess, Webster University
Mess, a senior from St. Louis, Mo., was a stalwart on the back line for the Gorloks as they picked up two more conference wins to remain undefeated in conference play. Mess set up the game winning goal in a 2-1 win over Westminster. She was part of a defense that allowed just five total shots and three shots on goal in the two wins, including a shutout win over MacMurray. She added two goals in the win over MacMurray as well.

Oct. 12
(Offensive) Dee Dee Sliter
Sliter, a junior from Louisville, Ky., tallied four goals in a pair of conference wins last week. Sliter started the week with the only goal in a 1-0 win over Greenville, scoring on her only shot of the game. Sliter then recorded a hat trick in her team's win over Iowa Wesleyan. On the week she netted all four goals on just four shots. She is currently second in the league in both points and goals scored.

(Defensive) Alyssa Logan, Spalding University
Logan, a junior from Carmel, Ind., is the SLIAC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week after helping her team notch a pair of shutout wins over conference opponents last week. Logan and her defensive teammates allowed just seven total shots over two games including just two shots on goal. In addition Logan added two assists in her team's win over Iowa Wesleyan.

Oct. 5
(Offensive) Clarice Bruch, Principia College
Bruch, a sophomore from Bellevue, Wash., helped her team go undefeated last week with a win over Eureka and a tie against Spalding. Bruch tallied a goal in her team's road win over Eureka. In their win over Spalding, also on the road, Bruch recorded two goals on four shots, putting three on net. Both goals put Principia up at the time.

(Defensive) Tymber Gabbert, Greenville College
Gabbert, a junior from Sedalia, Mo., was a stalwart on the backline for the Panthers last week in helping them record back to back shutouts. Gabbert marked both of her opponents leading scorers, limiting Illinois College top player to just one shot; including allowing just one total team shot in the final 65 minutes of the double overtime contest. Gabbert then shut down the SLIAC's second leading scorer, holding the Blackburn player to just one shot. On the week the Panther defense allowed just eight shots in 200 minutes of action.

Sept. 28
(Offensive) Christin Miller, Blackburn College
Miller, a freshman from Georgetown, Ind., took control of the game against MacMurray; scoring all four of her team's goals in a 4-2 win. Miller broke a scoreless game open with a goal at the 22-minute mark. After MacMurray tied the game up she gave her team the lead once again with another goal at the 30-minute mark. She recorded the hat trick just eight-minutes later, giving Blackburn a 3-1 lead at half-time. After MacMurray struck again Miller gave the Beavers some breathing room with her fourth goal, coming at the 69-minute mark.

(Defensive) Ellen Woolsey, Westminster College
Woolsey, a junior from Marshall, Mo., is the SLIAC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week after recording a shutout over Fontbonne University last week. Woolsey was in net for the Blue Jays 2-0 win over Fontbonne, making eight saves in the contest. The shutout win is Woolsey's third of the season and she currently leads the conference with a 1.22 goals-against average.

Sept. 21
(Offensive) Gaby Medrano, Webster University
Medrano, a freshman midfielder from New Braunfels, Texas, played a pivotal role in her team's win over North Central last week. Medrano tallied a goal and an assist in her team's 3-2 win, helping end North Central's five game winning streak. Medrano put Webster on the board at the 30-minute mark and then assisted on the game tying goal just seven minutes later. Medrano's goal came on her only shot of the week.

(Defensive) Alisa Coralic, Webster University
Coralic, a freshman from St. Louis, Mo., persevered in net and helped her team stop North Central's five game winning streak. After falling behind 2-0 against North Central Coralic and the Gorloks rebounded for a 3-2 win. Coralic stopped all three shots on goal in the second-half, blanking North Central for the final 75-minutes of the game. Coralic improves to 3-0 in the net with a 1.43 goals-against average this year.

Sept. 14
(Offensive) Meghan Sykora, Blackburn College
Sykora, a sophomore from Arnold, Mo., helped the Beavers pick up their first three wins of the year last week as she recorded four goals and three assists in three games. Sykora started the week with two goals in a win over Rockford. She followed with two more goals and added two assists in a 6-0 win over Mount Mary and closed out the week with an assist on the only goal of the game in a win over Wisconsin-Lutheran.

(Defensive) Jourdin McFarland, Blackburn College
McFarland, a junior from Carlinville, Ill., was busy in net last week as she tallied three wins including two shutouts. The only goal allowed by McFarland on the week came in a 6-1 win over Rockford, in which she made six saves. McFarland blanked Mount Mary, making two saves, and then threw up another shutout with 11 saves in a win over Wisconsin-Lutheran. On the week McFarland stopped 19 of 20 shots faced, allowing just one goal, while playing in 270 minutes.

Sept. 7
(Offensive) Morgan Henry, Westminster College
Morgan Henry, a sophomore from Camdenton, Mo., paced her team with three goals in three games, picking up two wins. Henry netted the game winning goal in her team's season opening contest, a 2-1 win over Millikin. In her next outing she tallied two goals in a win over Lakeland, giving her six total points on the week. Henry put thee of eight shots on goal on the week, with all three shots on goal finding the back of the net.

(Defensive) Maddie Redohl, Fontbonne University
Maddie Redohl, a sophomore from Fenton, Mo., helped the Griffins get off to a strong start to the 2015 season, recording two wins. Redohl was the only Griffin to play every minute in all three games on the week, anchoring a defense that allowed just three goals. In addition Redohl added a goal of her own in her team's win over Southwestern (Texas).
