Former Tiger a Finalist in 2015 CONCACAF Awards

Former Iowa Wesleyan University women's soccer player, Georgetta Lewis is a finalist in 2015 Confederation of North, Central American, and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) Awards for Female Coach of the Year honors. Lewis played for the Tigers in the 2005 and 2006 seasons; recording five career points in 23 games played.

After graduation Lewis, a former national player for Antigua, returned to her hometown of St. John's, Antigua and entered the coaching ranks in her home country. Lewis became just the second female head coach appointed to a men's team in the First Division in Antigua and Barbuda, taking over as head coach of Urlings FC.

The CONCACAF awards honor players and achievements in CONCACAF-sanctioned tournaments and competitions involving the confederation’s national teams at all levels, including FIFA World Cups and World Cup qualifying for both genders, in all age categories.
