Pairs From Fontbonne and Webster Earn Scholar All-Region Honors

A pair of student-athletes from both Fontbonne University and Webster University earned 2017 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III Women's Scholar All-North/Central Region honors. Being recognized this fall for their efforts both in the classroom and on the soccer field are Fontbonne's Ellen Weaver and Meredith Wendt and Webster's Elena Bloma and Brianna Pagan.

Weaver and Wendt each earned Third Team honors for Fontbonne. Weaver, a senior midfielder, is a Strategic Communication major with a 3.63 grade-point average. She tallied 5 goals and 8 assists this past fall while being named First Team All-Conference. Wendt, a senior forward, holds a 3.94 grade-point average while majoring in Psychology. She recorded 16 goals and 11 assists with five game-winning goals en route to being named First Team All-Conference.

Bloma picked up Second Team honors for the Gorloks. The senior defender carries a 3.41 grade-point average while majoring in Biology. She recorded 1 goal and 1 assist while being named the SLIAC Defensive Player of the Year. Pagan, a senior midfielder, is majoring in Mathematics and holds a 3.89 grade-point average. She finished the fall with 5 goals and 6 assists while earning First Team All-Conference honors.
