2018 Women's Soccer Players of the Week

SLIAC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week - Oct. 29
Gracie Koonce, Westminster College

Gracie Koonce concludes her regular season with her second conference award this year. Koonce, a midfielder, finished with 17 total points in helping the Blue Jays to a pair of wins last week. She started with a goal and three assists in a 4-0 win over Principia. She followed with a record-setting day against Blackburn, netting five goals with two assists; breaking marks for career goals, career points, single-game goals, and single-game points.

SLIAC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week - Oct. 29
Alisa Coralic, Webster University

Coralic, a senior, helped the Gorloks wrap up another undefeated regular season conference schedule. Coralic notched two victories in net, making a total of eight saves in the two shutout wins last week. Facing cross-town rival, Fontbonne, Coralic recorded eight saves and picked up her fifth shutout of the season.

SLIAC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week - Oct. 22
Nicole Bascio, Webster University

Nicole Bascio, a senior, continued her scoring streak with four goals in two games last week. Bascio has now scored in five straight games and registered her first career hat-trick with three goals against Spalding. She added an assist in the 5-0 win and scored her three goals on just three shots. She followed with a goal in her team's victory over Eureka as the Gorloks clinched a playoff spot. 

SLIAC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week - Oct. 22
Sarah Cradick, Westminster College

Sarah Cradick receives her second player of the week award this season. Cradick, a junior, stopped 24 shots in two games last week. She started the week by stopping seven shots in a 1-0 overtime loss to Fontbonne. Cradick was busy in a scoreless tie, making 17 saves in the shutout. For the week Cradick played over 202-minutes, finishing with a 96-percent save percentage.

SLIAC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week - Oct. 15
Heidi Gundy, Westminster College

Heidi Gundy picks up this week's SLIAC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week honors after leading the Blue Jays to a pair of conference wins last week. Gundy, a senior, tallied four goals and one assist in the two games, totaling nine points. She started her week with her first career hat trick, adding an assist, in her team's win over Iowa Wesleyan. She followed with another goal in a victory against MacMurray. Gundy scored her four goals on just six shots for the week.

SLIAC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week - Oct. 15
Lilly Brauer, Webster University

Brauer earned her second weekly award this season after anchoring the Gorloks defense in a pair of conference wins. Brauer, a junior from Belleville, Ill., played all 180 minutes in the two games with the defense allowing no shots in their victory over Blackburn.

SLIAC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week - Oct. 8
Rebecca Bass, Fontbonne University

Bass, a junior forward, picks up conference weekly honors after leading the Griffins to a pair of conference victories last week. Bass, from Florissant, Mo., recorded six points in the two wins, tallying two goals and two assists. She had a goal and two assists against Principia then followed with the game-winning goal against Greenville.

SLIAC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week - Oct. 8
Rylee Stafford, Fontbonne University

Rylee Stafford, a sophomore from Jackson, Mo., grabs defensive honors after holding the back line for the Griffins last week in two shutout wins. Stafford, a defender, and the Griffins limited opponents to no goals and just five total shots on the week. She also chipped in with an assist in her team's 5-0 win over Principia.

SLIAC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week - Oct. 1
Melissa Kasper, Webster University

Kasper, a junior from Oswego, Ill., had a game to remember against MacMurray. She totaled nine points in the game, tying for the 6th most in school history. Kasper finished the game with three goals, on six shots, and three assists.

SLIAC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week - Oct. 1
Daniele Caruso, Fontbonne University

Daniele Caruso, a senior from St. Louis, Mo., is this week's SLIAC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week. Caruso helped the Griffins secure a shutout win over conference foe Eureka while adding a goal and an assist in the win. 

SLIAC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week - Sept. 24, 2018
Gracie Koonce, Westminster College

Koonce, a senior midfielder, helped the Blue Jays go undefeated last week including a career game against Stephens. Koonce netted four goals in a win over Stephens College, tying the program record for goals in a game. She reached that mark on 10 shots, putting six on goal. The Blue Jays followed that win with a scoreless tie against Cornell College. 

SLIAC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week - Sept. 24, 2018
Sarah Cradick, Westminster College

Cradick, a junior, recorded a pair of shutouts last week; winning against Stephens and tying Cornell. Cradick made a total of eight saves in the two games and finished with a perfect save percentage of 1.000 on the week.

SLIAC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week - Sept. 17
Molly Kovarik, Fontbonne University

Kovarik, a sophomore from Festus, Mo., continued her hot start to the season with two more goals last week. Kovarik, who leads the conference with seven goals, netted both of her team's goals in a 2-0 win over Cornell College. She tallied the goals on just six shots as the Griffins secured their second win of the season.

SLIAC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week - Sept. 17
Kayla Strehle, Spalding University

Strehle, a freshman from Orlando, Fla., stood out last week against Anderson despite taking the loss. She stopped nine of ten shots as the Golden Eagles fell in overtime. She finished the week with a .900 save percentage and currently leads the conference in goals-against average and save percentage.

SLIAC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week - Sept. 10
Payton Williams, Webster University

Williams, a junior midfielder from St. Louis, Mo., helped the Gorloks to three wins last week notching three goals. Williams netted the game-winning goal against Dominican. She followed with two more goals in a 4-1 win over Millikin. On the season she leads the team with three goals and is tied for the lead with six points.

SLIAC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week - Sept. 10
Marjory Coates, Greenville University

Coates, a junior from Decatur, Ill., recorded three wins including two shutouts in net for the Panthers. Coates picked up a stellar 15 save shutout win over Concordia-Chicago to highlight her week. She followed with six saves against Belhaven and two more in a shutout win over Millsaps. On the week Coates had a .958 save percentage, allowing one goal in 270 minutes of action.

SLIAC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week - Sept. 4
Nicole Bascio, Webster University

Bascio, a senior from Wentzville, Mo., started her season with a bang, scoring a career-high two goals in the Gorloks 3-0 win over Concordia-Chicago. Bascio needed just three shots to do her damage which included the game-winner. She followed that with an assist in her team's 3-1 win over Dominican (Ill.). On the week Bascio finished with five total points with two goals and one assist.

SLIAC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week - Sept. 4
Lilly Brauer, Webster University

Lily Brauer picks up the SLIAC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week award after helping the Gorloks start the year 2-0. With Brauer along the back line the Gorloks allowed just one goal in the season's first two games, picking up a shutout against Concordia-Chicago.
