2016 Women's Tennis Players of the Week

April 25 - Paige Cooley, Principia College
Paige Cooley continues her impressive freshman season as she picks up her third SLIAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week honors this year. Cooley, from Traverse City, Mich., rolled to a 6-0, 6-0 win at #1 singles over Greenville College. Cooley improves to 17-1 overall in singles action this season. She also added an 8-3 win with her partner Caitlin Carney as the #1 doubles team for Principia.

April 18 - Justine Roy, Principia College
Justine Roy is picks up SLIAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week honors after recording three wins on the week. She racked up a 6-1, 6-4 win at #3 singles over Webster and then a 6-1, 6-1 win in the same spot over Westminster. Roy added a win at #3 doubles, teaming with Lena Carlson.

April 11 - Paige Cooley, Principia College
Paige Cooley picks up her second straight SLIAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week award after going undefeated in six matches last week. Cooley, a freshman from Traverse City, Mich., rolled to three wins at #1 singles, blanking her opponent in five of six sets on the week. In fact Cooley had three sets where she did not even drop a point. Cooley added three more wins at #1 doubles with her teammate Caitlin Carney.

April 4 - Paige Cooley, Principia College
Paige Cooley, a freshman from Traverse City, Mich., is the SLIAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week after notching two wins. Cooley, playing at #1 singles, defeated Concordia-Wisconsin in straight sets 6-0, 6-0. She followed with an 8-5 win in the #1 doubles spot, teaming with Caitlin Carney.

March 21 - Stephanie Lass, Webster University
Stephanie Lass becomes this week's SLIAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week after notching two conference wins last week. Lass, playing at #6 singles, picked up a 6-0, 6-0 win. It marked the seventh consecutive singles win for Lass, who improves to 8-3 on the year. She followed with a victory at #2 doubles with teammate Jesse Steffens-Willis.

March 14 - Monica Behrle, Webster University
Behrle was dominant in her performances last week, racking up a perfect 8-0 record for the Gorloks. Behrle, a sophomore from Atlanta, Ga., picked up four wins at #1 singles and #2 doubles. She notched a 6-2, 6-3 win over Kutztown and followed with a 6-0, 6-5 win over Carroll. Behrle continued with a 6-1, 6-0 win over Lebanon Valley in the top spot and closed out with a 6-2, 6-4 win over Roanoke. In addition Behrle teamed with Madison Watts to pick up four doubles wins on the week.

March 7 - Lena Carlson, Principia College
Lena Carlson, a senior from Michiana Shores, Ind., is the SLIAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week after notching a pair of wins. Carlson was dominant in her victory over Lewis and Clark at #4 singles, winning 6-2 and 6-0. She followed with an 8-5 win as the #2 doubles team, winning 8-5.

February 29 - Monica Behrle, Webster University
Monica Behrle, a sophomore from Atlanta, Ga., is the SLIAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week for the first week of the spring 2016 season. Behrle notched three wins last week, including a pair of wins at #1 singles. She won 6-4, 4-6, 10-8 in a battle of #1 players against Coe and followed with a 6-4, 6-2 win at #1 over Cornell. Behrle also notched a win at #2 doubles, defeating the Cornell team 8-6.
